While other states are still hovering around the 10% mark, Colorado is continuing to regain jobs at a steady rate. Unemployment in the state is now down to 8.8%, with an increase of 2,300 jobs last month alone.
This is a pretty big jump down from March’s unemployment rate in the state, which was 9.2%. Most gains are coming from the mining, leisure, logging, transportation, hospitality, and utilities sectors. Officials warn people to be cautious yet optimistic, however, in reading such findings, as the state may not be out of the woods just yet.
Still, morale seems to be returning to the people of Colorado, which is always a good thing.
